Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Manager (Level L) to support the AeroStructures (IAS) / Advanced Metal Structures (AMS) team based out of Auburn, Washington on 2nd shift.

As a member of the leadership team, you will continuously lead and develop manufacturing teams. A successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and coaching skills that will further enable our business unit to embrace and elevate a One Boeing Production System (BPS) culture, driving a deep understanding of the One BPS principles, standards, production health and problem-solving model.

Quality and Safety initiatives will require the candidate to be fully engaged in a Foreign Object Debris (FOD) free and clean as you go approach and an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) commitment to safety. Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees and first-level managers performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines.

  • Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives.

  • Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.

  • Leads, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in a formal leadership position.

  • 3+ years of experience working in an aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment.

  • 1+ years of experience using lean manufacturing and/or continuous improvement practices and tools.

  • Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience in building a culture of safety and quality.

  • Emotional intelligence and resilience.

Summary Pay Range: $141,300 - $172,700
