About the role

The Reliability Engineer III is a senior-level individual contributor responsible for driving reliability, durability, and safety improvements throughout the product lifecycle. This role leads reliability engineering activities for new product development (NPI) and existing products, including data-driven failure analysis, reliability modeling, accelerated testing, design risk assessment, and cross-functional problem solving.

This position supports the Water Heating Division and will be based in Montgomery, AL.

  • Lead product and component reliability assessments from concept through production and field support

  • Develop, execute, and analyze reliability, durability, and qualification test plans.

  • Perform and facilitate DFMEA and PFMEA activities.

  • Conduct root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.

  • Develop reliability prediction and life data models.

  • Design accelerated life testing and validation strategies.

  • Partner cross-functionally to improve product robustness.

  • Author technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.

  • 5 years of experience in reliability, product, or test engineering.

  • Experience with reliability modeling, statistics, DOE, and failure analysis.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

 

HOW TO STAND OUT

  • Master’s Degree or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering discipline. 

  • Experience with Minitab or Weibull data modelling tools 

  • Advanced statistical knowledge 

  • Previous project management experience
