Jefferson Einstein Hospital Philadelphia is seeking to add a Nocturnist to its growing team of outstanding physicians to support the growth of the practice. Join us; make a difference.

Job Description

In this role you can expect to:

  • Work 6 PM to 6 AM on a 7 on and off schedule, expect to work 14 days out of 4 weeks. 
  • Be responsible for triaging and staffing necessary admissions to hospital medicine, GMF, tele and step down.
  • Supervise a team of 2 APC and 3 residents to efficiently triage and admit patients in the emergency room.
  • Care for between 6-12 patients a day, often from a diverse and underserved population
  • Collaborate with the emergency room team. 
  • Collaborate with the Night chief. They will be responsible for the house. 
  • Not respond to any codes/ RRTs or ICU or In house calls. That would be the responsibility of the Night chief. Unless there is an emergency situation like the covid pandemic.
  • Provide quality care in conjunction with a very diverse team. 
  • Teach and provide feedback to residents regarding admission protocols, use of power plans, medication reconciliation.
