Job Description

Position Summary

The Business Systems Analyst supports the Field Service Department through a unique blend of financial oversight and internal project management. This role focuses on analyzing departmental performance, improving operational efficiency, managing internal initiatives, and ensuring resources are aligned with business objectives. By combining financial insight with structured project management, the position drives both fiscal discipline and process improvements across the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, track, and report departmental KPIs such as FSE utilization, COGS variance, TNS and profitability. Partner with leadership to build annual budgets, forecasts, and performance scorecards.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports tailored to field service operations; highlight trends and recommend corrective actions.
  • Lead and coordinate departmental projects such as process improvements with field service management and department incentives.
  • Monitor and track internal project milestones, budgets, and resource usage; provide progress updates to leadership.
  • Continuously evaluate and refine departmental workflows to ensure compliance with updated performance measures.
  • Review field service reports and action opportunities for additional field service, parts and mods.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements                                                                                        

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Mathematics or related field.
  • 3 years of experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent), project management software, and advanced Excel/BI tools.
  • 3 years of experience in business systems or operational analysis and project management, ideally in field service, manufacturing, or industrial operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Use of advanced formulas (INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, XLOOKUP, OFFSET, array formulas).
  • Data analysis tools such as PivotTables, Power Query, and Power Pivot.
  • VBA/macros for process automation and efficiency improvements.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple internal initiatives.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage large, complex datasets accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to distill complex analyses into clear insights for senior leadership.

Additional Information

The anticipated base salary for this position starts at $105,000 yearly. 

Compensation for roles at Syntegon varies depending on a wide array of non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skill set, and level of relevant experience.
