Global Finance Analyst

About the role

The Global Finance Analyst is responsible for supporting and enhancing the financial performance of the organization across multiple regions. This role ensures alignment with global strategic objectives and compliance with regional and international financial regulations. The incumbent will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver financial insights, drive process improvements, and support accurate reporting and analysis to facilitate data-driven decision-making.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Budgets

· Coordinate and oversee the budgeting process for regional and global offices, ensuring accuracy, timely submission, and alignment with corporate financial objectives.

· Analyze year-over-year variances, provide justifications for deviations, and support departments in refining financial forecasts.

Performance and KPI Monitoring

· Analyze monthly financial statements, including revenue, cost, and expense variances; identify trends and areas for improvement.

· Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) as established by the Sr Manager Administration and Finance.

Regulatory Compliance and Internal Controls

· Monitor adherence to international and regional financial compliance standards, policies, and procedures.

· Support internal and external audit processes, including financial and transfer pricing audits, ensuring timely and complete documentation.

Cross-functional Collaboration

· Partner with key business units—such as Operations, Sales, and IT—to ensure financial strategies support business goals.

· Participate in strategic initiatives by providing financial modeling, insights, and risk analysis.

Financial Reporting and Consolidation

· Review, consolidate, and analyze monthly financial reports for regional and global entities.

· Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial data submitted for corporate consolidation and executive review.

Project Leadership and Process Improvement

· Lead and support finance-related projects, including the implementation of new systems, cost center restructuring, intercompany pricing updates, and process reengineering initiatives.

· Drive continuous improvement through data automation, reporting optimization, and operational efficiency enhancements.

Audit Coordination (Internal and external

· Act as the regional point of contact for internal and external financial audits.

· Ensure the timely completion of audit cycles and coordinate with relevant departments to address audit findings and implement corrective actions.


QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 4-8 years progressive experience in finance, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry and in a multinational or matrixed organization.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting.
  • Strong understanding of global compliance standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Fully bilingual In English and Spanish.
  • Willing to Travel Internationally 2-3 times a year (occasionally).
