Industrial Engineer

Job Description & Skill Requirement:

 

   
1.    Plan, prioritize, design, and execute Layout planning for core process of manufacturing such as assembly, fabrication, machining, packaging, storage, and painting. 
2.    Must understand the caterpillar layout planning process and guidelines while performing the design. 
3.    Define required layout requirements prior to design start, cascade requirements to cross functional team to ensure the expectations are met. 
4.    Drafting tasks within defined scope, delivering layouts and optimize designs and provide options to internal customers. 
5.    Speed / Quality of Drafting should be up to industry standards. 
6.    Able to spend considerable amount of time in shop floor to capture the current state data and update the layout with location and flow information. 
7.    Analyze the material flow and ensures the smooth and rapid movement of material, from the stage-to-stage process. 
8.    Ability to validate flow and capability to simulate the circulation of people and its interaction with material to facilitate the safe movement path. 
9.    Work with a cross-functional team to develop concepts, design and develop the layout in 2D CAD and convert the same into 3D Factory CAD layout. 
10.    Should have basic knowledge on Modelling. 
11.    Validate the Layout using flow and manufacturing techniques. 
12.    Offshore shall support onsite resource in modeling/ detailing and updating the layouts.
