The Manager, Technical Product Management – Enterprise & Maintenance reports to the Director, Product Management. This position is responsible for directing business and technical stakeholders in the product strategy, roadmap and prioritization, product development, and performance tracking and ongoing improvement of one or more business areas. This position will work closely with users and understand the business implications of CapMetro’ s technology systems. This role will provide customer focused service and build positive and constructive relationships with stakeholders and customers, by understanding their needs, problems, and providing timely communication and service.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Product Strategy & Lifecycle Management: Manage end-to-end product strategy, design, development, marketing, launch, and lifecycle management, ensuring timely and high-quality iterative releases aligned with customer expectations.

  • Customer Experience & Innovation: Develop product capabilities focused on customer and user experience, creating innovative use cases, user journeys, and strategies to enhance engagement and satisfaction.

  • Analytics & Performance Measurement: Establish vision and strategy for analytics to improve user experience efficiently and cost-effectively. Create performance tracking metrics, document voice of the customer, and analyze delivery outcomes.

  • Business Case Development & Prioritization: Manage creation of business cases and feature prioritization to balance deliverables and timing for new tools and enhancements.

  • Requirements & Standards Compliance: Lead product development review teams for functional and technical requirements, ensuring adherence to organizational standards across all products.

  • Financial & Resource Management: Manage budgets, financial tracking, reconciliation, and invoicing for technology systems and projects. Oversee team assignments, motivation, accountability, and adherence to schedules.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Ownership: Partner with departments and stakeholders to plan, implement, support, and evaluate technology solutions. Gain proficiency in technical and functional aspects of assigned systems and products.

  • Project & Vendor Management: Provide technical and managerial oversight for projects, working with agile teams, vendors, and implementation partners to deliver solutions. Prepare procurement documents and ensure compliance with licensing requirements.

  • Documentation, Training & Adoption: Develop and update technical/user documentation, direct user training, and promote system adoption. Act as an advisor and advocate for technology solutions across business areas.

  • System Administration, Security & Risk Management: Ensure systems are proactively maintained for optimal performance and security through alerts, updates, patches, and monitoring. Lead compliance with security standards, conduct risk assessments, manage disaster recovery planning, verify backups, and resolve issues.

  • Testing & Change Management: Document test cases, perform comprehensive testing during implementations and upgrades, follow change management processes, conduct impact analysis, and communicate changes effectively.

  • Governance & Reporting: Research, develop, and implement IT standards and best practices. Provide periodic reports to management on product performance, risks, and compliance.

  • Support Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s Safety Management Systems (SMS) process by ensuring staff follows safety and security policies, considers safety in every action, and ensures safety and security concerns are reported. 

  • RESPONSIBILITIES - SUPERVISOR AND/OR LEADERSHIP EXERCISED: Manages department personnel by planning, scheduling, delegating and overseeing employee work assignments, authorizing, coordinating, and scheduling work with vendors and consultants, conducting personnel actions, including hiring and interviewing, and overseeing hiring, training, work assignments, and performance evaluations.
