This position is eligible for a flexible work schedule arrangement at the present time. The arrangement may be delayed for training or other job acclimation purposes and remains subject to change.
Your Responsibilities
As a Part Time Student for JD Waterloo Product Engineering Center located in Waterloo, IA, you will:
- Manage logistics in support of JDPS Application Engineering projects. This includes tracking parts to support prototype builds, managing emission exemptions, and ensuring shipping and accounting records are handled correctly.
- Support tool and process improvements, including Tableau, PowerBI, PowerAutomate, and Sharepoint applications.
- Support In-Vehicle Application Reviews through capture and documentation of issues observed during manufacturing line audits.
- Support miscellaneous engineering requests to improve team efficiency and throughput.
This position is not available to students on immigration visas.

- Experience or ability to learn data visualization tools (Tableau & PowerBI)
- Must be registered as a full-time student at a U.S. local accredited college/university.
- Graduation date of May 2026 or later.
- Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above.
- Available to work during the academic year 16-20 hours/weekly.
- Available to work during the summer semester 35-40 hours/weekly.
- Must be able to commute to the work location in Waterloo, IA on a daily basis year-round.
What Makes You Stand Out

- Computer Programming Experience (VBA, Python, SQL, etc)
- Combustion Engine Knowledge
Education
Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
- Pursuing a major in computer science, engineering, or similar technical field
