Location: Cripple Creek, Centennial Building, onsite

Salary range: $1,850 - $1,943 (semi-monthly)

Status: Full-time - Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY: Under general supervision acts as the first point of contact for Teller County’s Centennial building and performs administrative functions for the Department of Human Resources .  


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities listed below are central to the job and the employee must be able to perform each function satisfactorily. (1) Act as the first point of contact for Teller County’s Centennial building by greeting clients, visitors and guests; determines the purpose of each person’s visit and directs them to the appropriate location.  


(2) Answer, screen and direct phone calls on a multi-line system. 


(3) Perform basic administrative functions to support the daily operation of the Human Resources department.


(4) Pick up, receive and distribute mail, documents and deliveries.  


(5) Order and maintain inventories of office supplies.


(6) Manage department vendors and coordinate for repair and/or delivery.  


(7) Assist with community education by maintaining bulletin board displays, marquees, pamphlet distribution, and promotional displays.


(8) Perform other projects and provide backup support to HR staff and County Support Manager as assigned.  



Requirements

Knowledge of: local government; basic understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems; principles and processes for providing excellent customer service, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction; computers, various office equipment and various Microsoft Office software.  


Skilled in: use of basic computer software programs; maintaining confidentiality; organizing work, setting priorities, meeting deadlines and following up on assignments; working in a deadline driven environment; initiating and responding to medium volume of daily calls/contact; interacting with all levels of internal and external professionals while developing strong productive relationships; organization and time management.


Ability to: communicate effectively in writing and verbally; establish and maintain effective and professional working relationships with co-workers, other county departments, representativ
