POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES:
This Intern will support projects within the Culture and Talent Development department at Republic Bank. This is a paid internship slated to begin in June 2024 and ending in May 2025.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business, Sociology, Communications, Pan African Studies or related field with an anticipated graduation date of May 2025.
• Cumulative GPA 3.0 or greater required.
• Willing to work approximately 20 hours per week.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide administrative support for our learning assignments and onboarding efforts.
• Help develop training materials related to culture and inclusion/diversity topics.
• Research/benchmark best practices around inclusion and diversity, talent retention and culture topics – and make recommendations.
• Responsible for organizing and management of BRG inventory, including responding to SharePoint submissions for BRG inventory items.
• Conduct Supplier diversity analysis and review.
• Draft articles and communications.
• Assist with inclusion and diversity internal events.
• Maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements affecting your position and area of responsibilities and actively learn new regulations and assist in the implementation, if required.
• Model and foster behaviors that support the Bank’s values and corporate culture creating an atmosphere of trust, cooperation, accountability, and dedication to the organization.
• Willingly perform all other duties and projects as assigned.

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills, and ability to present ideas to others.
• Professionalism in working with confidential information appropriately.
• Ability to work independently and as an integral part of a team in a collaborative environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this position, the associate is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear. The associate frequently is required to stand or walk. The associate is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The associate must occasionally lift and/or move 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, and distance vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
• Occasional travel to other office locations in the Louisville market as needed.
• May need to provide support at external events.
• Flexible work schedule that will include some evenings, weekends, and overtime.
• Stay abreast of new developments, best practices, and statutory and regulatory changes.
