The BU (Business Unit) Product Security Manager will be responsible for improving the security of BD products and solutions that are sold to customers by design, in use and through partnership. In addition, this person will report progress to their BU Product Security Officer.
This person will oversee and direct the adoption of the corporate product security framework within their business unit and various other aspects of the overarching product security program within their business unit portfolio of products (e.g. risk assessment, awareness/training, incident response, critical initiatives, and external engagements). This person will determine what applications may need to be fixed to align with cybersecurity standards.
The BU Product Security Manager will use available corporate resources with expertise in security testing, architecture, incident response, and program management.
Responsibilities:
Ensure BU adoption of product security framework activities
Track and report alignment to product security requirements
Maintain and update security policies and procedures
Accountable for ensuring projects are meeting objectives and deadlines
Manage reoccurring coordination meetings and internal communications
Work with technical project leaders to develop sound technical approaches, work breakdown structure, and predictable landmarks.
May act as the primary Product Security Engineer working closely with a design team to implement the Product Security Framework for a large product platform.
May perform other duties as required
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree required. Ideal candidate will have a degree in project management, computer science, or technical subject area
A minimum of 2 years of experience in product security
Proven ability to operate multi-functionally to complete BU-wide initiatives
Proven organizational and project management skills with software development projects
Experience with full SDLC applications with C#.net and healthcare/hospital software applications
Ability to manage multiple small to medium size projects, up to four at any one time
Must have combined experience with new product development, remediation, applications software development and cybersecurity design projects; not just scripting
Ideal candidate will have direct experience working in a highly federally regulated environment like healthcare, hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, etc. with a strict software development security process and standards
Preferred Qualifications:
PMP, CISSP, HCISPP certification desired
Cybersecurity experience preferably for medical devices and diagnostic systems software applications
Related cybersecurity tools experience: HPE Security Fortify On Demand, Checkmarx, Nessus, and Metasploit
Supervisory experience managing a virtual and international team of up to 10 application developers and testers
