Field Service Technician (Heavy US Travel)

This role is 80-85% domestic US travel
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. The Field Service Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing packaging machines at customer sites. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused approach to ensure client satisfaction and equipment reliability.

Responsibilities:

• Install new packaging machines at customer facilities, ensuring proper setup and configuration according to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance on packaging machines to prevent downtime and ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with packaging machines, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
• Repair or replace defective components of packaging machines, such as sensors, actuators, motors, and control systems.
• Conduct comprehensive testing and calibration of packaging machines after repairs or maintenance to verify proper functionality.
• Provide training to customer personnel on the operation and maintenance of packaging machines to ensure smooth operation and maximize uptime.
• Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent, utilizing our internal systems.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to provide feedback on equipment performance, reliability, and opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years related work experience
• Familiarity with ERP systems
