Qualifications & Experience
Key Accountabilities
- Contribute to the development of the marketing strategy for your attraction, aligning with overall business objectives.
- Ensure a strong, cohesive, and impactful brand presence in your market.
- Lead the planning, development, and execution of integrated marketing campaigns.
- Create experiences that inspire target audiences and meet customer, brand, and commercial goals.
- Collaborate with regional marketing peers to support attraction-specific objectives.
- Localize global marketing activity to resonate with regional audiences using provided frameworks.
- Share and implement best practices across the region.
- Align all marketing activities with Global Brand strategies and frameworks.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and identity across all touchpoints.
- Work in a matrix environment, partnering with internal teams and external agencies.
- Ensure marketing strategies are integrated across all customer-facing areas.
- Leverage insights from the Global Insights team to understand customer behavior and market trends.
- Use data to shape marketing plans that increase engagement and drive performance.
- Partner with Digital, E-Commerce, and Content teams to grow digital reach, engagement, and conversion.
- Develop and support cohesive, data-driven digital marketing strategies.
- Lead and develop any direct reports with clear guidance and coaching.
- Role model Merlin values and foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
- Provide regular performance reporting and insights to senior leaders.
- Make data-led recommendations and manage budgets responsibly to ensure no overspends.
Experience and Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in marketing roles, ideally within entertainment, hospitality, tourism, or retail sectors.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven success in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns
- Experience working within complex organizations and collaborating with different teams, balancing priorities.
- Leadership and people management skills, with experience in managing and developing people, directly or indirectly.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a track record of using data-driven insights to inform marketing strategies.
- Excellent stakeholder management
- Proven experience managing marketing budgets and demonstrating marketing ROI.
- Robust commercial understanding in particular the role marketing plays in business performance.
- A passion for the entertainment and tourism industry, with a customer-first approach to marketing.
