Injury Prevention and Ergonomics Analyst *Hybrid*

Under the direction of the IP&E Manager, the IP&E Specialist manages programs for injury prevention, reduction and promotion of health at a regional level. The position will provide project management to new and existing programs in cooperation with the IP&E Manager to decrease caregiver harm through engineering, administrative, and work practice controls. The position will collaborate with IP&E Managers, Supervisors, Coordinators, Caregiver Health, Workers' Compensation and Return to Work, and local leadership to provide efficient and cost effective inter and intra facility services and training for ergonomics, safe patient handling, and other injury reduction services. The position will also support safety compliance with legislation (where applicable) and regulatory bodies (example: Occupational Safety & Health Administration and The Joint Commission). The position will promote integration of services within a culture of safety, wellness, and injury prevention, demonstrating principles of a highly reliable organization, including pay attention to detail, communicate clearly, have a questioning attitude, operate as a team and speak up for safety. Will also perform basic data analysis to help identify injury trends, prioritize areas for risk reduction, develop risk reduction strategies and work with appropriate leaders to implement interventions. This position will support locations in the valley and will work from each, so driving will be required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Within 2 years of hire Certification in ergonomics or safe patient handling
  • 3 years Work experience related to ergonomics, injury prevention and safety or healthcare setting (i.e. RN, PT, OT, exercise physiologist).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree Healthcare related field (RN, OT, PT, ATC, industrial hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, Kinesiology).
  • Coursework/Training Ergonomic related training (i.e. CPE, CEAS, CIE, CAE, CHSEP, Human Factors Engineering, & SPHM).
  • Coursework/TrainingProject Management related training (i.e. Lean, Continuous Improvement).
  • Upon hire: Physical Therapist License (LPT)
  • Upon hire: Occupational Therapist License (OT)
  • Upon hire: Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
  • 2 years Work experience related to project management.
  • 1 year Work experience related to caregiver injury prevention or workers' compensation.
  • 1 year Acute health care experience.

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
