About the role
This internship provides a unique opportunity to learn about investment strategies, research, and portfolio construction across the various clients we serve. You’ll collaborate with experts in the field and contribute to real-world investment decisions. This internship will provide exposure to the different areas of institutional investment management through introductions, hands-on projects, and participation in investment strategy meetings.
Primary Duties:
- Asset Allocation: Assist in analyzing asset allocation strategies for institutional clients across our various client types.
- Portfolio Construction: Participate in constructing and rebalancing investment portfolios.
- Manager Selection: Research and evaluate investment managers across various asset classes.
- Performance Reporting: Monitor portfolio performance, assess investment outcomes, and provide accurate and timely reporting for clients and Bell strategies.
- Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, economic indicators, and identify investment opportunities.
- Know by name and face as many customers and employees as possible, calling them by name as often as possible.
- Know and practice LOCBUTN, our Golden Rules, and Bell Bank Customer Service Standards.
- Know, understand, and live the company values and bottom line.
- Conduct activities consistent with established Bell Bank policies, procedures and systems, the Bell Bank Employee Conduct policies, the Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
- All employees are responsible for information security, including compliance with policies and standards which protect sensitive information.
- Prompt and reliable attendance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Required:
- Junior or Senior currently pursuing a degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
