KCAS Bio Philadelphia is looking for a dynamic Laboratory Technician to join us at our Global Flow Cytometry laboratories. The Lab Technicians on the Support Team are responsible for providing knowledgeable assistance to a team of dedicated scientists in a GLP laboratory environment. Additionally, the Support Team collaborates with other onsite and remote teams to deliver quality service and excellence to our clients and partners.

The Lab Technicians on the Support Team are responsible for providing knowledgeable assistance to a team of dedicated scientists in a GLP laboratory environment. Additionally, the Support Team collaborates with other onsite and remote teams to deliver quality service and excellence to our clients and partners.
In this roll, we will rely on you to:
- Support in the organization of GLP documentation regarding laboratory activities.
- Perform instrument maintenance tasks, including cleaning, changing filters, and basic metrology on standard laboratory equipment.
- Collaborate with outside vendors for equipment troubleshooting and scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Update equipment logbooks and equipment trackers with maintenance records daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Receive, store, retrieve, and ship out clinical samples as per GLP guidelines.
- Requisition, receive, store, inventory, and restock general laboratory supplies.
- Ensure that reagents on hand for use are appropriately labelled and non-expired.
- Conduct daily laboratory inspections to promote a safe working environment.
- Interface with vendors for the delivery and pickup of medical waste, compressed gas, lab coats, and dry ice.
- Perform any other duties as required or assigned.
To qualify specifically for this role, you will have:
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, immunology related discipline is required.
- Basic math skills and a working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel) and database systems are required for this role.
- A well-developed work ethic is essential, coupled with a strong motivation to complete tasks, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
- Good communication skills and an ability to work with a team.
