About the role
<p><strong>Overview</strong></p> <p>ArcGIS Enterprise provides powerful mapping and analytics capabilities to government and private organizations supporting their operations and workflows in areas such as assets management, environmental impact assessments, and digital twins creation.</p> <p>As part of the Enterprise team, you will contribute to developing relational and graph data information models that form the core framework of ArcGIS capabilities. Your work will involve working with multiple data source providers written in C/C++, enabling ArcGIS to integrate with leading relational and NoSQL database platforms. Collaborating closely with experienced developers and mentors, you will gain valuable experience while contributing to innovative projects.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p> <ul> <li>Work on building core data management and access framework to support ArcGIS relational and graph information models</li> <li>Research and extend ArcGIS support for relational and NoSQL DBMS technology</li> <li>Build full-stack software components that follow industry-standard modern design patterns, development methodologies, and deployment models</li> <li>Collaborate with other developers and product engineers throughout the development process</li> <li>Work effectively in an Agile Scrum team environment</li> </ul> <p><strong>Requirements</strong></p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience building commercial enterprise software in C/C++ and Java</li> <li>Experience troubleshooting and debugging software</li> <li>Good understanding of RDBMS system concepts and transactional models</li> <li>Good written and verbal communication skills</li> <li>Ability to analyze software/algorithms and identify improvements</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a STEM-related field</li> </ul> <p><strong>Recommended Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>Database programming skills including familiarity with ODBC, JDBC, and Visual Studio</li> <li>Experience with AWS RDS, Aurora, or Azure SQL databases</li> <li>Previous involvement in a large software development project</li> <li>Academic training in GIS and/or knowledge of GIS/Esri software</li> <li>Familiarity with Esri products like ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro</li> <li>Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a STEM-related field</li> </ul> <p>#LI-TA1</p><div class="content-pay-transparency"><div class="pay-input"><div class="description"><p><strong>Total Rewards</strong></p> <p>Esri’s competitive total rewards strategy includes industry-leading
