JOB CATEGORY: PHARMACY / LABORATORY SERVICES / ADMINISTRATION

POSITION SUMMARY: This is a professional position within Pharmacy and Laboratory Services (PLS) involving coordination and management of a variety of pharmacy services for the corporation.  Such services are provided in accordance with current laws, regulations, and professional standards, as well as PMS policies, procedures, and contractual agreements.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years administrative experience required.
  • Purchasing and/or pharmacy related experience preferred.
  • Intermediate skills and proficiency in computer data entry and operation, including word processing and spreadsheets and database.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • National certification and NM license as a Pharmacy Technician; OR
     
  • Have by date of hire and maintain current throughout employment a national certification/registration which enables participation in Computerized Provider Order Entry (CPOE) as defined by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). These may include one of the following certifications/registrations:

    1. Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA);
    2. Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from the American Medical Technologists (AMT) or American Allied Health (AAH);
    3. Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA);
    4. National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT);
    5. Certified Clinical and Administrative Medical Assistant (MA1) from MedCA;
    6. California Certifying Board for Medical Assistants (CCBMA) – a nationally-recognized certification; or
    7. Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) from the National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP).
     
  • Must complete “340B University On – Demand” within one year of hire.
