GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Director, Analytics and Insights will be central in driving analytic insights and strategic thinking for Team One accounts, especially Lexus and LDA. They will be the key contact for the client on mar-tech, data, and media strategy/performance. This position will be responsible for ensuring that data and continuous test-and-learn approaches are utilized to drive client’s media objectives and to re-align methodologies as the measurement and digital/social landscapes evolve. This position requires strategic and tactical thinking with an eye for numbers, intellectual curiosity, proficiency at problem-solving, and an in-depth understanding of online media and technology. The candidate must have a proven track record of data-rich analyses, be a team player, and be responsible in a client service environment.
Day to Day:
- Act as primary media analytics consultant across the full span of Lexus national clients – marketing, media, data, tagging, etc.
- Responsible for ongoing delivery and accuracy for all analytics deliverables delivered by teams to both internal and external business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Lexus project managers to facilitate harmonization of media analytics approach across their various agency and media partners.
- Advise internal and client stakeholders on developments in measurement, mar-tech, and brand safety and ensure Lexus programs transition with stability across landscape changes.
- Lead mar-tech and innovation road map to future-proof measurement and identity solutions
- Develop and maintain website tagging strategy to support web analytics and media reporting objectives and insights development.
- Shepherd team compliance with data governance requirements from Publicis and TMNA, and, as needed, other clients.
- Manage and enforce accountability standards for team and partners/publishers for data accuracy and brand safety.
- Vette work prior to client presentation to ensure alignment with objectives, approved methodologies, etc.
- Proactively seek new information and maintain a current and thorough understanding of digital marketing best practices including industry trends, metrics, and competitive activities.
- Assist in educating internal and external shareholders on the impact of digital marketing and the importance of proper online measurement and performance.
- Collaborate with the various agency media teams to enhance client measurement and reporting.
- Monitor advancements in brand suitability management and verification capabilities as well as partner compliance with current settings
- Provide mentorship to Associate Director and Manager
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in a quantitative data-driven field including extensive client contact with a minimum of 5 years in media analytics preferred
- Proven ability to lead mar-tech conversations with internal/client technical teams and client marketing teams.
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams across multiple marketing disciplines
- Must be able to multi-task and develop ideas in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Recommending and implementing research that will aid in the consumer insight gathering and strategic process
- Automotive category experience a plus
- Ability to lead, mentor, and train analysts
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Marketing, Communications, Economics, Mathematics, or Finance.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong quantitative and qualitative skills with proven data interpretation abilities.
- Ability to move beyond descriptive analytics and employ more sophisticated techniques (predictive & prescriptive analytics)
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work across functional areas.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, attentive and knowledgeable about user interface issues, and proficiency in quantitative data analysis.
