The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Finance and Program Management Domain Architect to join the team in Ridley Park, PA; Dallas, TX; Hazelwood, MO; or Renton, WA

This position will report directly to the Executive Director of Finance and Program Management IT Systems and serves as a senior architecture leader across Boeing’s Finance and Program Management domains. This role is a strategic leadership position that provides cross-domain architecture direction, decision support, and portfolio guidance across business-critical capabilities, applications, and modernization efforts supporting Commercial Airlines, Defense & Spaces, Global Services, and Enterprise Business Services Businesses.

The Senior Architect will be a technical architectural advisor within IT, helping educate leadership, frame decision options, assess tradeoffs and dependencies, and guide current-state, transition-state, and target-state architecture across Finance and Program Management. This position will work closely with senior business and IT counterparts, across finance, program management, supply chain, infrastructure, and enterprise business systems to align architecture direction to business priorities, continuity needs, and long-term modernization goals.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a senior IT architecture advisor to the Executive Director of Finance and Program Management Systems, providing cross-domain architectural insight, strategic guidance, and decision support

  • Partner closely with Finance, program management, supply chain, infrastructure, and enterprise business systems stakeholders to align Process, Applications, Data and Technology direction with business priorities, operating needs, and transformation goals

  • Lead, advise, and coordinate application architects within the Finance and Program Management IT teams to ensure alignment and consistency with Boeing ASCENT strategic vision for IT

  • Lead cross-function architecture analysis to support strategic roadmap planning, dependency management, and investment decisions

  • Define and maintain current-state, transition-state, and target-state architectures across Finance and Program Management Segments across Enterprise Architecture Pillars - Business process, Applications, Data and Technology

  • Create and evolve transition architectures and roadmap options that move fragmented current-state portfolios toward more aligned and supportable future-state SAP and non-SAP centric solutions

  • Provide architecture leadership across Boeing’s Finance and Program Management portfolios, aligning business capabilities, applications, integrations, data flows, and technology strategies to enterprise priorities

  • Assess the application landscape to identify solution overlap, technical debt, integration complexity, supportability concerns, business continuity risks, and modernization opportunities

  • Support application portfolio rationalization by evaluating where capabilities should be sustained, modernized, consolidated, replaced, or newly enabled

  • Ideate and identify innovation opportunities leveraging emerging AI and Data toolset under the current Finance and Program Management applications portfolio that enable Business and IT productivity and efficiency improvements. Also, enable and govern the execution plan realizing the value

  • Ensure Finance and Program Management Systems are compliant across multiple sets of regulations including Sarbanes-Oxley, ITAR, NIST, Fed-Ramp, CIS and other relevant government regulations and IT standards

  • Partner with SAP Architecture to support Boeing Business transformation strategy and delivery of Boeing Common core concepts via SAP S/4HANA ERP,  SAP Central Finance and Group Reporting, SAP Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (ePPM), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Master Production Scheduling (MPS) utilizing SAP Activate methodology

  • Help educate leadership on architectural options, business and technical tradeoffs, portfolio risks, dependencies, and sequencing considerations

  • Establish and communicate architecture principles, integration patterns, design constraints, and solution guardrails aligned to Boeing enterprise architecture direction

  • Prepare clear architectural recommendations, roadmap options, and executive-ready materials that help leadership evaluate alternatives and make informed decisions
