Part-Time Recreation Supervisor

ELS is hiring for the position of Part-Time Recreation Supervisor in Palm Desert, California.

What you'll do:

The Recreation Supervisor directs the planning and implementation of our resort activities and events. This position arranges sponsors, schedules, and reviews potential vendors.  

Your job will include:

• Plan and schedule events, crafts and activities for all groups within the resort and private events at the resort facilities. 

• Coordinate and manage all event preparations, including arranging food and beverages, booking entertainers and food trucks, collecting ticket sales money, and performing other duties as required. 

• Arrange for sponsors to fund events. 

• Review requests and select vendors to conduct informational seminars. 

• Excellent communication with the Administration Office for purchase order approvals

• Collect and provide a copy of the food truck and catering vendors' auto policy card and Certificate of Liability insurance for the Administration Office

• Create and coordinate with the manager the monthly recreation schedule. Provide schedule copies to staff

• Create event flyers and bulletin board advertising

• Maintain open communications with resort management, guests, and vendors. 

• At all times, represent the resort professionally.

Skills & experience you need:

• High school diploma or equivalent. 

• 3+ years of experience in events or activities planning. 

• Meticulous attention to details. 

• Excellent communications and organizational skills. 

• Strong skills in the Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of Microsoft Publisher preferred.

Estimated compensation for this position in the states of CA, CO, IL, MD, MNY, and WA is:

Hourly: $18.00 - $18.00

The salary listed is an estimate and not guaranteed. A salary offer will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data. In addition to the base pay and our benefits, some positions are eligible for bonuses, sales commissions, or incentive pay.
