Field Service Engineer - production assistance

Job Type: Full-Time, 4 days ON, 4 days OFF - Day shift - 6:00AM to 6:00PM

Location: Newport News, Virginia.

Activity: Industry, heavy machinery, automation. Technical assistance, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

What you develop:

• Support client with the maintenance of APCO designed and manufactured machines including troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of specialized mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems/components.

What you bring:

• 5+ years of facilities/machine maintenance experience.

• Associate degree or similar level of experience.

• The ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.

• A good understanding of electrical systems to include 480 volt and below including various control voltage.

• Knowledge of hydraulic system component diagnostics, repair and failure analysis of valves, stacks, pistons, and rams in excess of 5000 PSI operating pressure.

• Strong customer service, interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Fast-thinking, pro-active and self-sufficient.

• Attention to detail and quality.

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record.
