Job Description Summary
The Customer Service Representative works in a dynamic and fast-paced environment to provide effective customer service and support through in-depth knowledge of company products, programs and services. This position reports directly to the Dispatch Manager.
Key Responsibilities

The basic responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative include, but not limited to the following.
- Communicate with customers by phone and text messaging software, enter data into the computer system.
- Solicit future orders from customers and enter order into computer system.
- Negotiate with customers’ acceptable delivery times to prevent lost orders.
- Document customer complaints and forward to Dispatch Manager and/or Sales Representative.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- High School Degree or General Education Degree (GED).
- Three to five years related customer service experience, and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements.
- Basic computer skills for entering orders. Outlook, Word, Excel, Keyboard 25 + wpm.
- Extensive knowledge of Austin and surrounding areas,
- Ability to read and understand maps.
- Communicate effectively with a wide variety of customers and be an effective problem solver.
Language Skills:
Must read, write and speak English.
Mathematical Skills:
Basic math required – addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.
Reasoning Ability:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work up to 65 hours per week including Saturdays.
