The UW Medical Center-Montlake Outpatient Pharmacy has an outstanding opportunity for a Pharmacy Technician at the Roosevelt Clinic.

All activities of Pharmacy Technicians are performed under the direct supervision of a registered Pharmacist
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform order entry of medication orders into the outpatient pharmacy computer system, including on-line processing of prescriptions, assisting patients with new prescriptions and refills.
Perform charging and/or billing functions, including third party payers. May perform hospital and clinic administered drug charging and credits.
Maintain required controlled substances documentation and research any identified discrepancies. Ensure accurate filling and required back-counting when filling controlled substance prescriptions.
Ensure medications in assigned areas are in-date. Complete assigned monthly outdate checking and unit inspections.
Maintain hard copy prescription filing systems. Participate in daily filing of prescription forms.
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Six months of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant OR equivalent education/experience.
LEGAL REQUIREMENT
State of Washington Pharmacy Technician certification
