IAM Business Controls Director | Hybrid

What you do:

You will manage strategic leadership and direction of a new Identity and Access Management (IAM) Business Controls function that will be a center of excellence for business access controls in the COO Business Controls Office at Allianz Life. You will lead a team responsible for implementing, operating, and monitoring an enterprise IAM domain model with defined roles and entitlements that translate and align to Allianz Life departments. You will provide guidance and support to business area owners and control consultants to facilitate business access management that safeguards company data and assets while also ensuring timely access provisioning for necessary business functions. You will collaborate with COO leaders and other partners throughout the company to achieve strategic goals. You will report into the AVP, Business Controls.

·       Lead the implementation of an Allianz Life IAM domain model & business role library along with related processes to ensure agreement with company business processes, global rules, and local regulations – manage access to business assets through continued build out of local IAM tool, facilitate enterprise access reviews, and verify of segregation of tasks.

·       Direct a team of employees who advise department owners and control consultants and oversee the execution of critical systems’ access management tasks. Develop capabilities and focus on employee engagement; conduct hiring, training, development, and overall performance management of direct reports. 

·       Develop and execute efficient access management strategies, processes, and metrics by identifying gaps between current and desired state and taking into account business and IT architectural changes. 

·       Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and leadership and lead appropriate COO and company resource dedication to help ensure delivery of a company-wide IAM controls function.

 

What you bring:

·       7+ years of experience required: 

o   Operations, compliance or risk related experience across multiple disciplines and/or business lines.

o   Experience in IT systems support, identity and access management and/or related business control concepts.

·       3+ years of leading a team and departments with enterprise impact.

·       Four-year degree required: bachelor’s degree, specialized training or equivalent work experience
