Sr. Director of Treasury

Chemonics International is seeking a Senior Director of Treasury (Deputy Treasurer). The Deputy Treasurer supports the Treasurer in managing the treasury department by providing day-to-day oversight and staff supervision of the Treasury unit within the Finance and Administration Division, operating in a leadership role for various cash management, budgeting, and field accounting issues, and assisting project management, new business teams on financial procedures and solutions to achieve departmental, regional, and corporate strategies and objectives. Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee financial analysis and cash management teams by communicating clear performance goals and standards, offering regular performance feedback, and promoting staff development through coaching, mentoring, and facilitating professional growth opportunities

Financial Analysis:

• Supports the budgeting process
• Provides timely regular and ad hoc financial reports to the Treasurer and the Chief Financial Officer

Cash Management:

• Leads 13-week cash forecasting efforts.
• Ensures availability of funds for company to operate.
• Provides periodic reports required under loan agreements to banks and other stakeholders
• Leads & coordinates internal communications regarding treasury activity

Treasury Automation Suite (TAS) Administrator:

• Ensures TAS platform remains operational and serves company needs

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supports the implementation and management of the company’s hedging and investment programs
• Supports the treasurer with ESOP-related financial analyses and planning activities, including the preparation of company input for the share price valuation
• Develops effective working relationships with clients, counterparts, and stakeholders and continually promotes outstanding client service with home office staff and field teams.
• Conducts duties and responsibilities with full understanding of clients' requirements, the relevant policies and regulations, and Chemonics operating procedures
• Applies financial and accounting principles to position responsibilities, ensuring that GAAP standards and Chemonics procedures are followed
• Applies in-depth technical expertise to projects’ technical goals and objectives, new business efforts, and Chemonics knowledge base
• Advances body of knowledge and quality standards in financial management and practice networks. When needed, formulates interdisciplinary approaches for financial management to guide project work, new business efforts, and technical assignments, and advises clients on technical trends and programming priorities
• Takes leadership role in practice network development and professional societies to promote proper financial management approaches.
• Solves administrative and operational issues
• Provides (or establishes) financial and accounting best practices to grow the company and improve market share, and networks with clients, consultants, and counterparts regarding new business opportunities
• Assists in proposal development by analyzing financial and accounting aspects of proposal providing vision and leadership to proposal teams, and mentoring and supervising the application of best practices in the area of finance and accounting
• Understands and ensures corporate compliance in financial matters concerning payment requests and all related corporate policies and procedures
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as required
