Accounting Manager

Job Description

The Accounting Manager Consultant is responsible for supervising the accounting team, implementing processes, managing month/year-end close process, and ensuring daily transactional tasks (accounts payable/receivables, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, cash forecasting, etc) are completed timely and accurately. 

Responsibilities:

·       Supervise the accounting team and provide training and mentoring.

·       Monitor and analyze department workflow to develop efficient procedures and the use of resources.

·       Ensure all deadlines are met.

·       Prepare and Review Journal Entries.

·       Prepare and Review Account Reconciliations.

·       Maintain the general ledger system.

·       Prepare monthly financial statements.

·       Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.

·       Assist in annual audit process and respond to audit questions as needed.

·       Provide recommendations to Controller as needed.

·       Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy.

·       Utilize best practice standard tools, templates, and methodologies in delivery of client services.

·       Meet financial accounting objectives.

Requirements

Required skills and experience:

·       8+ years of experience in accounting and finance roles

·       3+ Industry experience in manufacturing, biotech, medical devices and fintech highly desired.

·       BS Degree in accounting, finance or work experience equivalent

·       5+ years prior supervisory experience in a large private or public company.

·       Proficiency in accounting software for example NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, JDE, Great Plains, etc

·       MS Excel proficiency including VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables, and Macros

Pay is DOE: $65- $80/hr
