The Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) is the state of Florida’s social services agency. The agency oversees services for child safety, fostering, adoption, domestic violence, adult protective services, refugees, homelessness, mental health, substance abuse, childcare providers, human trafficking, and public assistance. The agency’s mission is to work in partnership with local communities to protect the vulnerable, promote strong and economically self-sufficient families, and advance personal and family recovery and resiliency. Within DCF, the Economic Self-Sufficiency (ESS) Program helps to promote strong and economically self-sufficient communities by determining eligibility for food, cash and medical assistance for individuals and families on the road to economic recovery.

 

Job Description

This is a highly responsible position responsible for the Office of Economic Self Sufficiency Regional Program Office requirement related to program planning, training delivery, and operational support. The primary responsibilities of the Senior Management Analyst Supervisor includes: Recruitment and Staffing, Quality Assurance, Policy and Training, and Staff Development for the Office of Economic Self-Sufficiency Regional Program.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervising, training, and directing the activities of direct reports. Performs personnel management activities such as leave and attendance, hiring, and performance evaluations.
  • Coordinates and directs policy interpretations, awareness initiatives, and technical support for the regional Economic-Self Sufficiency program. Assists with staff development, quality assurance, recruitment, and operational support
  • Reviews incoming correspondence to determine appropriate assignment and handling. Coordinates responses to ensure accuracy and consistency.  Prepares decision memoranda or related documents where necessary.
  • Develops goals and objectives for the region program office unit.
  • Coordinates with other offices and organizations within and outside the department on issues affecting the operation and service delivery to clients.
  • Remains informed regarding the department’s automated systems, works to enhance current systems.
  • Assists leadership team and others when needed or requested; willingness to perform other duties that may arise and do not necessarily fall specifically within the current job description.
  • This position will require travel.
