The impact you will have in this role:

Being a member of the Engagement function, the Associate Director will be the primary internal interface between Group Chief Risk Office and DTCC organizations to facilitate responses to client, regulatory, and audit queries on operational and technology risk controls. This function facilitates coordinated, consistent, timely and accurate responses to clients, its regulators, internal and external audit partners by becoming trusted partners with their stakeholders.

Risk, Audit, Client and Regulatory Engagement assists in providing the strategic vision and tactical execution of DTCC advocacy and thought leadership in cybersecurity, resilience, and new and emerging technology risk. In this capacity, Risk, Audit, Client and Regulatory Engagement advocates for specific regulatory and legislative outcomes in these areas through engaging financial authorities and institutions on key risk issues and its partnerships with industry groups and trade associations. External Engagements is responsible for providing the interface between Operational and Technology Risk (OTR) subject matter experts and DTCC clients, auditors, and financial examiners to facilitate information and evidence sharing resulting from questionnaires and examination requests. External Engagement is responsible for the execution of the DTCC Client Cyber Program, an assurance program designed to provide reasonable assurance that DTCC Systemically Important Financial Market Utility (SIFMU) clients are using an industry-accepted cybersecurity framework to manage its cybersecurity risks.

Your Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for completion of assigned deliverables within assigned Risk, Audit, Client and Regulatory Engagement timeframes.
  • Identify and communicate potential enhancements to existing processes that may effectively anticipate, manage, and reduce risk to DTCC and its members and participants. Organize personal and teamwork-load to meet key team or program objectives.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and deductive reasoning skills when completing complex tasks and functions. Act autonomously on most decisions.
  • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills with peers, stakeholders and management.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders e.g., Regulatory Relations, OTR.
  • Partner with senior management to identify and prepare metrics that drive the team's goals and opportunities.
  • Cross train on other functions within the team to achieve team and firm goals.
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 6 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience
