Job Description

The LVC Missions Coordinator Lead works onsite at the Battle Simulation Center (BSC) Camp Pendleton, CA supporting Naval Surface Warfare Center- Corona (NSWC-Corona) in providing LVC training for I MEF Areas of Responsibility.  The Mission Coordinator assists with the planning, design, and execution of LVC events for USMC supported training events and provides expert knowledge and solutions in integrating simulation systems and platforms. The Mission Coordinator position is a leadership position that requires interaction with Military, Government and Contractor Leadership.  Communication skills are required.
 

Essential Job Responsibilities

Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.

Serve as NSWC-Corona’s LVC technical and operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) in support of LVC training events.  Communicate with leadership on any technical or operational issues and new requirements.

Assist in leveraging LVC capabilities and strategies that align with goals of the training program. Oversee implementation of new systems and upgrades to existing systems, ensuring they meet technical standards and training requirements.

Work with the Marine Enterprise Training Network (MTEN) and Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE) local and remote operators and engineers, and external Joint Live Virtual Constructive (JLVC) teams to coordinate and plan systems and personnel support for events.  Adjust daily working hours occasionally to match times zones around the world where events are occurring.  Occasional travel is required in support of event planning conferences.

Use Confluence and JIRA collaborating tools to share event schedules, documents, and after action reports.  Identify, document, report, and track issues, while keeping appropriate technical personnel, NSWC- Corona, BSC leadership, and other stakeholders informed of status.

Minimum Qualifications

9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.

Preferred Requirements

  • Construct of Operational and Tactical Levels of Warfare events to include live virtual constructive
  • Well-developed personal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools
  • Prior military service leadership level highly desired
  • Tactical Training Range operations and management 
  • Command, Control, Communications, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) systems and operations 
  • Knowledge of Marine Constructive Suite, Joint Semi-Automated Forces (JSAF) simulation or other
