Job Description
Grace is seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to join our Curtis Bay team. The Maintenance Coordinator provides oversight and coordinates the activities of the Operations/Maintenance interface and the utilization of cross-functional support teams, while optimizing cost, safety, and utilization of available resources. A Maintenance Coordinator is the main representative from the point-of-manufacturing in a production-centered organization for all maintenance issues.
Responsibilities
- Responds to, and ensures timely completion of, maintenance-related environmental, health and safety issues, such as, but not limited to, PHA, PSSR, MOC, LDAR and safety items.
- Communicates and coordinates with Operations, Safety, and Environmental to accurately prioritize environmental, health and safety-related maintenance activities.
- Actively supports equipment improvement (e.g. PM) by communicating observed deficiencies and coordinating efforts with Reliability team.
- Plans and coordinates equipment availability for maintenance activities including PMs.
- Ensures environmental, health and safety items are scheduled appropriately.
- Uses the area work order backlog to help define look-ahead schedules for optimal execution of work.
- Participates in daily meetings with Maintenance to review current schedule execution and generate the next day’s work schedule.
- Assists in evaluating and categorizing work for the development of a comprehensive turnaround work scope, and coordinates major routine maintenance activities (non-turnaround) that require unit outages.
- Thoroughly understands and applies the Grace’s EIP “Best Practice” workflows to coordinate and manage Operations/ Maintenance interactions.
- Reviews notifications for accurate prioritization, data entry, and duplications and retrains when not being followed.
- Recommends adjustments and improvements to the maintenance workflow completion.
- Actively participates in the asset team to achieve safety, production, reliability, and financial goals.
- Assists in keeping key performance indicators (KPIs) in line with company goals.
- Monitors budget for the area, focusing on maintenance expenditures.
- Confirms readiness of planned work in the field before putting in on the schedule for execution, i.e. scaffold in place, insulation removed, abatement, etc.
- Facilitates a daily meeting with Maintenance and Operations representation to review current schedule execution and generate next day’s schedule
Physical Requirements and Environment
- Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator
- Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft.
- Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 year's relevant scheduling experience (Budget, Cost, Risk, Schedule, Estimating) in the Chemical / industrial sectors.
- Must possess a strong working knowledge of chemical manufacturing plants and/or related industries.
- High school diploma
