About the Role:
The Marketing team at PitchBook is critical to fueling the company’s growth by utilizing a variety of strategies to support our Sales and Customer Success departments grow and retain our client base. The Marketing department is responsible for supporting Pitchbook's full customer lifecycle, including driving brand awareness, demand generation to fuel the Sales and Customer Success pipelines, customer adoption, retention, and expansion.
The GTM (go-to-market) Campaigns Director role will serve as the Marketing business owner for designated customer types, supporting end-to-end strategy and execution, across full customer lifecycle GTM efforts. This is a highly strategic leadership role, giving a senior marketing leader the opportunity to work alongside core business stakeholders and cross-functional partners to define and accelerate PitchBook’s revenue-driving, GTM efforts.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Be the business owner over supported client types, operating with extreme depth and focus of related customers, products, and market landscapes to meet revenue targets
- Continually deepen expertise across the entire customer lifecycle, from brand through expansion, using various internal (product launches, pipeline, renewal books, content/research releases, etc.) and external moments (competitor plays, market shifts, etc.) to set and amplify the GTM strategy
- Operate with a strategic and growth-oriented mindset, regularly coming to business partners with insights, plans, risks, and disruptive and innovative concepts to win in market
- Work with cross-functional business leaders to regularly report out on segment analysis through a variety of strategies including sales win/loss, customer interviews, and external research
- Use analysis to pinpoint challenges, business needs, and unique value propositions applicable to target segment or personas to scale revenue opportunity
- Own company-wide communications of full funnel GTM activities and standardize communication rhythms
- By keeping an eye on the customers and market, continually prioritize GTM efforts across the business, helping to inform strategic tradeoffs for the business and continually have pulse on highest-impact near-term levers and activate quickly to capture demand opportunity
- Set strategic, full customer lifecycle GTM roadmap for supported segments; responsible for development and implementation of roadmap programs
- Support the design and execution of segment-focused, customer lifecycle campaigns that create groups of buyers and move them to action
- Drive standardized GTM rhythms, playbooks, and tools that generate increased campaign activity, accelerated time to market, audience engagement, and demand output
- Continually dig into revenue and funnel performance metrics, including cohort-based conversions. Use this data to inform GTM strategies, optimize in market efforts, and support the business more broadly on identified priories and opportunities
- Utilize product roadmap and market conditions to help inform full funnel forecast, including prioritization against acquisition, expansion, renewal, and engagement efforts
- Accountability for forecasting, measuring, and hitting pipeline goals
- Continually review and evaluate spend on performance across campaigns, helping to inform optimizations of spend for highest return on investment
- Regularly partner with Sales and Customer Success leaders to contribute, align, and define strategic pipeline objectives, iterating against business needs or market-shifts and communicating any adjustments to targets
- Work closely with leaders across Sales, Customer Success, Product, and PitchBook Institutional Research Group to align on segment opportunity and goals and develop effective, full-funnel GTM strategies to support
