We are seeking a versatile Lab Technician/Test Engineer to support our engineering team in developing cutting-edge battery technology and electronics. This role combines the responsibilities of a lab technician and a light test engineer, involving hands-on work with electronics as well as creating documentation and databases for internal and external use. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in electronics, experience with testing and assembly, and proficiency in documentation tools like Word and Excel.

We are seeking a versatile Lab Technician/Test Engineer to support our engineering team in developing cutting-edge battery technology and electronics. This role combines the responsibilities of a lab technician and a light test engineer, involving hands-on work with electronics as well as creating documentation and databases for internal and external use. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in electronics, experience with testing and assembly, and proficiency in documentation tools like Word and Excel.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and rework electronic components, including soldering, crimping, and creating wire harnesses.
- Conduct tests on circuit boards and electronic systems, logging results and generating test reports.
- Develop and maintain spec sheets for internal and external use.
- Create and manage internal databases using Excel and Word for documentation purposes.
- Assist with troubleshooting and diagnostics of electronic systems.
- Support the team by maintaining lab equipment, organizing supplies, and ensuring smooth lab operations.
- Collaborate with engineers to support testing and development projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; or at least 2 years of undergraduate coursework in progress toward a relevant degree.
- Proficiency in soldering, wiring, and basic electronic assembly.
- Familiarity with testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies) and logging results.
- Strong skills in Word and Excel for documentation and databasing.
- Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in creating and interpreting spec sheets for electronics.
- Knowledge of wire harness design and troubleshooting techniques.
- Previous experience in a lab technician or test engineering role.
