This role will be based in San Francisco or Mountain View / Sunnyvale or New York.
We are looking for a Business Operation Associate to join our Go-to-Market Horizontals team in leading our top- and bottom-line impact through objective analysis, operational insights and strategic initiatives. You will collaborate and work closely with cross-functional partners across Sales Operations, Central Operations, Marketing, and FP&A across lines of business to drive forward strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver strategic projects for our leadership that provide key business insights for high-priority initiatives
- Deliver strategic projects that enable the business to execute its highest priority initiatives (e.g. accelerating our go-to-market experimentation; expanding reach in new core markets/SMB through vendors and resellers; etc.)
- Leverage LinkedIn data to conduct in-depth analyses across lines of business to develop deep understanding of key value drivers and investment opportunities
- Conduct in-depth analysis across LI’s acquisition funnel and identify how to bend the LI-wide growth curve
- Serve as the connective tissue of a cross-functional team (including Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Sales Operations, Finance, Business Development, Corporate Development, and other internal groups, etc.), working to share knowledge and drive people towards a common goal
- Communicate effectively across all levels (within the team, to cross-functional partners, to leadership / executives)
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in engineering, math, statistics, physics, computer science, business or related discipline; or relevant work experience
- 4+ years of work experience in technology or a strategy related role, investment banking with an emphasis on quantitative skills
- Experience with SQL

- Initiative and ownership: Ability to act with limited oversight on day-to-day basis, balancing multiple priorities

- Performance management: Skilled at understanding data metrics and performance, including diagnosing the reason for metric movement and business implications
- Analytical abilities: Experience solving real-world business problems, ideally building/using advanced Excel models
- Communications: Excellent communication skills to distill complex thoughts and strategies into simple, actionable recommendations
- Team-first attitude: Motivated to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment to help our growing business and how LinkedIn operates
- Growth mindset: Willingness to learn, partner, and provide guidance in areas that are not fully defined; open to feedback and learning opportunities
- Relationship building: Ability to build trust quickly, high degree of empathy and expertise at managing senior, cross-functional relationships
- Executive presence: Experience working closely with business leaders to solve challenging business problems; credibly present and debate recommendations with business partners
- Content-specific: Go-To-Market Strategy, Media platforms, and/or Saas industry
