Director of Clinical Operations The Director of Clinical Operations manages the economical and efficient performance of the clinical team while delivering high-quality patient services. Responsibilities include planning, directing, and evaluating all clinical activities within the department while maintaining accordance with the company's overall program goals, timeline, budget and quality expectations. To ensure success the Director of Clinical Operations will define policies and procedures, facilitate staff training, assess staff performance regularly, and optimize processes. Responsibilities- Organize and manage all clinical operations and programs related to direct patient care, including staffing and scheduling.
- Represent the clinical “voice of the customer” internally.
- Embrace, drive, and act as an ambassador for just culture.
- Ensure patient safety and department compliance with policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Create operational pathways and processes to increase efficiency and optimize workflows by working collaboratively to measure and improve departmental KPIs.
- Verify, document, and maintain staff licensure.
- Participate in risk management assessments and assist with interventions.
- Collaborate with clinical operations leadership to interview, hire and train clinical team members.
- Organize and run data review meetings with clinical and executive leaders for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and review operational reports.
- Coordinate training for new and existing staff on departmental practices, equipment, policies, programs, procedures, and annual competency evaluations.
- Supervise and mentor clinical staff members.
- Participate in strategic discussions related to clinical operations.
- Work in coordination with Implementation team to launch new programs.
- Reports to SVP, Clinical Operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Five years of management experience required
- 10 years of clinical experience required
- Experience working with geriatric population required
- Active board-certified Registered Nursing license in NY, NJ, CA, or FL
- Proven leadership ability, excellent organizational skills, and proficient verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet challenging deadlines.
- Ability to work remotely, both independently and as a member of a team
