MLX PROCESS SPECIALIST- C Shift

Overview

Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Process Specialist is responsible for maintaining and improving processes. This position will support production start-up and follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of complex process engineering duties.
• Maintains proper technical documentation of work.
• Develops and maintains efficient processes and specifications.
• Provides advanced technical support in solving problems related to processes.
• Recommends and/or develops process revisions, new processes and appropriate applications to process improvement.
• Works toward cost containment and improved yield on a continual basis.
• Supports customer needs in coordination with plant management.
• Responsible for new application/engineering runs – providing samples that meet customer requirements.
• Provides preliminary process information/concepts for production.
• Provides customer consultation and assists sales in technical aspects.
• Coordinates with manufacturing and equipment engineering to implement new and improved processes and equipment enhancements or new designs.
• Trains and re-trains hourly employees.
• Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies.
• May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs.

Qualifications

• 5-years of experience in a manufacturing/plastics injection environment and/or operational preferred.
• Possess well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read, write and follow written or verbal instructions.
• Demonstrates organizational skills and is very detail oriented.
• Ability to interact closely with other departments to support customer focus and efficient operations.
• Demonstrated analytical and technical ability within field of expertise.
