Position Details:
The Opportunity: The Washington State University (WSU) Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences (VCS) in the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) seeks to fill a full-time continuous career track (clinical sub-track) Assistant or Associate Professor faculty position within the Neurology and Neurosurgery section of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (VTH).
The successful applicant will provide clinical service within the Neurology/Neurosurgery service while providing clinical and didactic instruction of
professional veterinary students, interns, and residents. Opportunities may exist for scholarship/research within the candidate’s area of interest and consistent with the appointed faculty rank and division of effort. Successful applicants should be able to effectively communicate and work collegially and collaboratively with people of diverse backgrounds.

Annual Salary Range:
Assistant Professor: $150,000 - $165,000 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
Associate Professor: $165,000 - $180,000 | Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate’s current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
The candidate must possess a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD) degree or a related foreign equivalent degree (such as a BVSc), and be board-eligible in the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Neurology) (ACVIM) or the European College of Veterinary Neurology (ECVN), or board-certified, by the date of hire.
Considerations regarding faculty rank will be determined based on the interests and qualifications of the candidate, as will division of effort. Candidates for Associate Professor should have evidence of progressively higher levels of experience and expertise in the provision of outstanding clinical service, clinical teaching, and/or research/scholarship.
