Senior Reliability Engineer

Clermont Open Cut is currently seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to join our high performing Maintenance & Engineering Department onsite. Located on the western edge of the Bowen Basin, Clermont Open Cut is a high performing truck & shovel operation that produces 12 million tonnes of coal per annum. Clermont Open Cut Operation is a safe, dynamic, and inclusive workplace focused on delivering high performance outcomes. 

Reporting to the Superintendent Planning and Reliability, you will be responsible for identifying issues affecting reliability and developing maintenance tactics to rectify them.  You will work with key stakeholders to build and maintain strong working relationships to support effective asset management strategies and systems for the mobile fleet and infrastructure on site.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Identifying issues affecting reliability and developing maintenance tactics

• Working with key stakeholders to maintain effective asset management strategies and systems for the entire Clermont Open Fleet whilst achieving set KPIs

• Supporting visible leadership that contributes to a safe workplace

• Driving continuous improvement opportunities through innovation and collaboration

Requirements of the role include:

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline

• Minimum 5+ years experience within mining/heavy industry

• Mobile equipment reliability experience desirable

• Experience in maintenance management system (SAP) is essential

• Experience in Failure Modes Effects Analysis facilitation and TapRoot facilitation will be highly regarded

• Good interpersonal and teamwork skills

• Strong communication skills

• QLD Drivers Licence
