We know that’s our company’s purpose – and that we can only achieve it by supporting a culture where people feel valued, self-managed, and love to come to work.</p> <h3><strong>The Role</strong></h3> <p>Agile Six is looking for a <strong>Fullstack Engineer</strong> (React/Ruby) to join a cross-functional team working with the Department of Veterans Affairs on an integrated patient portal experience on <a href="http://VA.gov">VA.gov</a>. The goal of our team’s work is to improve Veterans’ digital experience by giving them one place to easily manage their VA health care, community care, disability benefits, and other information.</p> <p>This role will serve as an individual contributor and be assigned to a designated product, potentially supporting development on adjacent product teams within the project. Fullstack engineers partner closely with the team's Engineering Lead to implement standards and best practices, and work closely with team members to support the development of a cohesive user experience across web and mobile platforms.</p> <p><strong><em><span class="notion-enable-hover" data-token-index="0">The Period of Performance for this contract expires on April 16, 2027. There is a strong likelihood we will continue this work under a follow-on contract beyond April 16th, but we won’t have clarity on the continuation path until closer to that date.</span></em></strong></p> <h2><strong>Responsibilities</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Build accessible, performant, and scalable frontend and backend features in an open-source ecosystem using <strong>React, Ruby on Rails,</strong> and other industry-standard languages and frameworks.</li> <li>Develop user-facing features with <strong>React</strong> (<strong>TypeScript/JavaScript</strong>), following USWDS design patterns and VA API/FHIR standards where applicable.</li> <li>Write and maintain 100% automated test coverage (unit, integration, functional, load, and accessibility) for all delivered features.</li> <li>Integrate with VA APIs and backend services to ensure accurate, secure data rendering and discoverability via the Lighthouse API Hub.</li> <li>Support the migration and retirement of legacy systems, ensuring continuity of content and functionality.<
