Essential Functions of the Position:
Ensure daily Pre-Shift inspections and frequency checks are completed accurately and conduct planned inspection audits on each shift.
Create a positive work environment, as outlined in MAPs Handbook and per our Employee Charter.
Effective communications. Conduct department and supervisory meetings using our Tier process (audit Tier meetings, support and develop additional communications for your shift, ensure elevation of Tier 1/2/3 meeting/shift reports)
Follow, comply and enforce all operational procedures/policies as stated in the employee Environmental Health and Safety programs (Magna and OSHA Standards).
Conduct Pre-Shift meetings with the team to communicate safety and/or quality issues and production targets.
Train team members on E-Coat process protocols, safety procedures, and quality standards.
Conduct regular checks on paint thickness and quality, ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives specifically aimed at enhancing the E-Coat/Paint process.
Coordinate with quality control teams to address any issues related to paint adhesion, coverage, and durability.
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting.
Provide feedback and recommendations to the supervisor regarding team member performance and training needs
Initiate and administer corrective actions as required.
Develop and facilitate on-the-job team member training -encourages training and development.
Perform other duties as required.
Physical Demands
Manufacturing Environment: 90% Standing and Walking, 10% Lifting
Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Work Experience
Previous leadership experience preferred.
Must currently hold or be able to attain a forklift license.
Must exemplify excellent leadership, interpersonal skills, and communication skills (written and oral).
Good mathematical, analytical and organizational skills.
Able to work in various locations within and outside the plant.
