Job Description:
Responsible for performing and managing risk assessment and business continuity planning for the HPE Aruba Networking business unit. The ERM, Compliance, and BC Lead provides ongoing oversight and progress reports of risk mitigation and business continuity activities performed by the business, along with assisting the business in the completion of risk management reporting for the Audit Committee and Executive Leadership, working closely with oversight organizations at the enterprise level. The RM, Compliance, and BC Lead provides recommendations on risk treatment and business continuity planning activities, balancing mitigation techniques where cost, complexity, and effectiveness intersect. The lead has a strong grasp of business processes and stays abreast of industry risk through active monitoring of industry initiatives and best practices. Additionally, the ERM, Compliance, and BC Lead will facilitate leadership discussions on emerging risks where these risks may impact the achievement of strategic and operational objectives, participate in regular working committees and compliance discussions at an enterprise level, represent the interests and objectives of the business unit, and drive alignment on collaborative solutions that advance the capabilities of risk management and business continuity readiness and response for the HPE Aruba Networking Business Unit.
Responsibilities:
- Experienced Program Manager who has strong understanding of the networking business globally and uses business knowledge, analytical skills and experience in identifying findings and improvements.
- Identifies inherent and residual risks and conducts risk-based assessments.
- Provides ongoing progress reports and updates of ERM and BCP plans.
- Provides recommendations on leading practices to minimize risk or to comply with legal/financial reporting requirements.
- Works closely with ERM and BCP teams to assess business processes
- Participates in regular working committees and compliance discussions at the enterprise level
- Manages feedback on ERM and BCP projects and conducts post-assessment evaluation
- Develops and drives a Business Continuity program which meets the BCM policy requirements including:
- Integrated and coordinated upstream and downstream crisis communication processes across the organization
- Common BC training approach for both the Business Response Teams and general awareness training within the organization
- Leading and development of a test/exercise program to include cross team scenario planning, after action reviews and training where appropriate.
- Metrics program to:
- Keep abreast of the status of planning and maintenance efforts within the organization and report progress to BC Sponsor
- Ensure the tracking BC plan approvals, training, exercises and activations in the BC software on a monthly basis
- Single point of contact for the BC Sponsor and Business Resilience during major disruptions and be able to provide information on impacts and strategies based on the location of the disruption, including:
- Essential/critical operations
- Impact on operations
- BC/contingency plans in place and implemented
- When strategies/plans were last exercised/tested
- Provides Business Unit specific support for customer BC inquiries
- Business Continuity certification (either by the Disaster Recovery Institute or the Business Continuity Institute) is desired and/or relevant experience managing Business Continuity or Enterprise Risk
- Manages other compliance programs / projects for the BU, as required
Education and Experience Required:
- Bachelor's degree in business finance, information systems, with a preference for MBA
- At least 6+ years of related experience
