Job Description

This position will contribute to the successful operation of the Americas Controllership group. The group performs the month end ledger close process and prepares financial reporting for the parent company, Publicis Groupe. The group also provides acquisition support, account reconciliations, intercompany balancing, audit, and tax support.  This is an exciting time at Publicis Sapient as we continue to grow as a business, both organically and through acquisition and embark on a large systems conversion from Oracle to SAP. 

Your Impact:

• Preparation of journal entries and analysis to support monthly close process
• Monthly preparation and review of account reconciliations
• Assist with monthly analysis of Balance Sheet and P&L
• Support recent acquisitions in monthly close process
• Intercompany reporting, reconciliation, and balancing
• Interact with various financial personnel across the organization to provide information, answer questions and resolve issues
• Coordinate with various Shared Services groups to investigate open items and resolve issues
• Support requests from tax, internal audit, and other shared service organizations within the company
• Preparation of audit and tax schedules as required
• Follow and enforce parent company accounting policies and procedures.
• Finding efficiencies and assisting to implement new procedures and controls.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience in an accounting role
• Experience with large, complex international companies preferred
• Strong analytical skills and detail oriented
• Team player and can adapt/adhere to changing priorities
• Ability to complete deadline-oriented tasks with minimal supervision
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Proven work ethic  
• Flexible to work after hours to meet reporting deadlines
• Knowledge of account reconciliation procedures
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, understanding IFRS accounting principles a plus
• Intermediate to advanced experience with Excel
• Experience with Oracle and/or SAP a big plus
• BS in Accountancy

Additional Information

Pay Range: $75,000 - $146,000

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work itself.
