Overview

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for an Acquisition Analyst in support of Special Operations Forces Acquisition, Technology and Logistics’ (SOF AT&L) Program Executive Office for Maritime (PEO-M). The premier SOF acquirers in PEO Maritime are committed to delivering the highest quality technologically advanced combat diving equipment, surface systems, and undersea platforms globally to Naval Special Warfare operators.

 

This is a full-time position located at MacDill AFB, FL

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze metrics and requirements from supported organizations
  • Develop elements of program acquisition strategies
  • Support/conduct portions of market research
  • Keep program information current and organize data to submit to management for decision-making 
  • Prepare reports and briefings on program status, policies, and procedures, in support of acquisition program milestones
  • Support cost/benefit analysis
  • Analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of the program; develop recommendations to improve program operations.
  • Assist in answering data calls and inquiries on program policies and procedures
  • Participate in the requirements development process in support of Senior Managers and Government counterparts.
  • Monitor programs to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Assist in managing program cost, schedule, performance, and risks in accordance with policies and procedures; formulate proposed mitigations as necessary.
  • Coordinate program information with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Interpret regulations and directives to determine impact on programs.
  • Determine requirements; develop goals and objectives to accomplish the mission of Program Support
  • Research ways to eliminate program bottlenecks and barriers to production; support government counterparts in the development of solutions to program issues.
  • Oversee the allocation of resources based on program requirements.
  • Draft fiscal year spend plans to meet OSD goals
  • Draft required program documentation based on ACAT-level designation

 

Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Must possess and maintain a TS w/SCI eligibilityCertifications: DAWIA Level III (Advanced) Equivalency in the Program Management or Engineering and Technical Management fields, OR ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

Education: Bachelor's degreeYears of Experience: Minimum of 10 years of DoD acquisition experience to include:

  • Knowledge of price and cost analysis sufficient to review proposals, actual and estimated expenditures, and established rates to determine price reasonableness or to determine a negotiation position.
  • Knowledge of contracting negotiation, administration, and termination principles, policies, procedures, and technical requirements applicable to the full range of contracting actions for a variety of contract types
  • Working knowledge of the Defense Acquisition System as directed by DoD Instruction 5000.02, “Operation of the Defense Acquisition System”
  • Working knowledge of the Defense Acquisition Framework process

 Preferred Qualifications:Additional Experience:

  • Maritime experience is valued
  • Knowledge of SOF-unique acquisition processes is desired
