Summary of Job Duties:
The Accounting Support Specialist is responsible for administrative and financial duties supporting the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture’s Soil Testing and Research Programs. This includes service laboratories located in Fayetteville, AR and Marianna, AR. The position is based out of Fayetteville. This position is responsible for accurately and promptly paying invoices for purchases made, clearing PCard and TCard charges, entering requisitions, and creating internal and external invoices to bill customers for services provided. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication, time management and good customer service skills. This position adheres to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, State and University purchasing guidelines as well as state and federal laws, and other agency and institutional policies.

• Workday: Pay invoices, allocate Purchasing Card and Travel Card charges to correct accounts and attach receipts, enter requisitions to purchase items, create internal invoices to bill departments, create external invoices to bill external customers, manage account balances, process travel requests for Center Director including entering spend authorizations (pre-travel) and expense reports (post-travel).
