About MCIM

MCIM – The Data Center Operating System (DCOS) is a platform that simplifies the complexities of managing a data center by bringing all functions and locations under one intuitive dashboard.

MCIM started with a commission from a Fortune 100 financial institution to create a cloud computing solution for managing their global critical facilities. The team developed the MCIM platform based on the lessons learned from that project.

Today, MCIM is utilized by Fortune 100 and 500 companies in over 94 countries worldwide. This world-class solution is continuously improved through collaboration with users and industry organizations like The Uptime Institute.

Overview
Fulcrum Collaborations is seeking a highly capable and motivated Business Consultant to
join our Strategic Services team. This role serves as both a strategic consultant and
field-facing partner, with responsibility for identifying opportunities, delivering operational
audits, and shaping solutions for current and prospective data center clients.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in critical facility operations, asset
management systems, and technology-enabled transformation. You will lead the evaluation
and optimization of the MCIM platform while directly supporting workshops, audits, and
client engagements aimed at reducing risk and modernizing operations.

This is an ideal role for a mid-level professional who enjoys working across both strategy
and execution—and who is looking to grow into a thought leader in mission-critical systems
and digital enablement.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Consulting & System Optimization
● Conduct comprehensive assessments of asset management, maintenance, and
operational workflows across data center environments.
● Identify business and technical requirements including lifecycle tracking, maintenance
programs, work order systems, and reporting.
● Develop MCIM strategies aligned with client goals, compliance standards (e.g., Uptime
Institute, ISO, SOC), and best practices.
● Create execution roadmaps with timelines, milestones, resource plans, and change
management strategies.
● Support platform configuration reviews and system optimization efforts.
● Advise on system design including asset hierarchies, naming conventions, and data
classification structures.
● Conduct industry research and competitor analysis to identify potential client pain
points and position MCIM as a solution.
● Assist in lead generation by identifying opportunities for new business based on
observed operational trends.

Engagement Delivery & Client Support
● Facilitate and support delivery of Problem Worth Solving (PWS) Workshops with data
center operators.
● Deliver Level 2 (problem-solving) and Level 3 (operational performance assessment)
workshops to both prospective and current clients.
● Support the end-to-end execution of Operational Audits—covering pre-audit planning,
data collection, analysis, and post-audit reporting.
● Translate operational findings into structured deliverables such as audit reports,
recommendation decks, and improvement roadmaps.
● Act as a liaison between technical findings and business implications, helping clients
understand how MCIM can improve their outcomes.
● Present professional-level findings and proposals to executives and decision-makers.

Platform Documentation & Enablement
● Use the MCIM platform to capture audit findings, workshop notes, and customer
feedback.
