About the role

The Head of IT Solutions Delivery will provide overall leadership, create strategy, and roadmap for Insurance & Retirement Solutions IT portfolio. The role is accountable for implementation of new solutions and systems, articulate the core solution vision, values, and strategy to maximize value to the stakeholders.

• Lead IT Portfolio and Program Management functions in establishing best practices to improve effectiveness and productivity, improving solution delivery maturity.
• Lead and collaborate with Product Managers and Application Support service providers to identify and improve systems, processes, and services to meet service levels and business continuity needs to achieve desired outcomes.
• Lead programs and projects including governance, SDLC methodology, standards definition and adoption, process improvement, reporting, financials, organizational change management and training.
• Drive transformational change including introduction and scaling of agile delivery methodologies. Provide leadership and management support for the program, project managers, and scrum masters through direct reporting or matrixed relationship.
• Lead, oversee and contribute to matrix project teams including other IT functions, service providers and external partners to deliver business value and achieve objectives.
• Accountable to business leaders for commitments and measured outcomes.
• Promote ideas and innovations for core solutions by taking measured risks and articulating the vision and plan to achieve desired outcomes such as shorter time to market.
• Responsible for a portfolio for multiple business lines with multiple projects and solutions with financial responsibility upwards of $10M in the execution of project delivery, engineering, and implementation.
• Capabilities to act tactically and think strategically, and switch leadership styles to influence, guide and coach individuals and teams.
• Partner with CIOs and their teams, and business leaders to ensure projects and programs are delivered to achieve desired business outcomes and ensuring that resources are optimized to deliver maximum benefits and value.
• Drives transparency to overall IT portfolio health through management and reporting.
• Build a team of highly skilled personnel to effectively support delivery across the enterprise - focusing on consistent application of process, standards, and tools.
• Lead the strategy, development, implementation and maintenance of delivery policies, standards and procedures driving alignment, adoption, and scale with focus on organizational change management.
