Data Center Engineering Intern

Position: 1 (Non-Exempt Role)

Reporting to: Datacenter Engineering Manager

Location: Jessup, Maryland, US

Basic Purpose

We are seeking Data Center Engineering Intern to join our growing Data Center Engineering Team for the Summer of 2024. Our team is responsible for the design and development of Hot Aisle Containment Systems and Structural Ceilings which are deployed in data centers worldwide. Our business has been growing exponentially and we need an engineer who can help us keep up the pace of growth.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Project Engineers on new product concepts (doors, partitions, walls, ceilings, etc.) using materials such as extruded aluminum, structural steel, and polycarbonate, including design using 3D CAD, qualification via 3D rapid prototyping, and first article testing.
• Help to integrate power distribution components into existing products.
• Help to maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and quality procedure documentation.

Qualifications

• Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with 3D SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of technical drawing standards and practices.
• Knowledge of BIM modeling and Revit a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
