Pay Rate: Up to $70.08/hr. DOE
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Position Type: Full-Time

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide 24x7 on-call emergency response and support to maintain building systems and infrastructure integrity and availability
• Monitor and maintain all building and mission critical facilities equipment
• Operate facility equipment in accordance with policies and procedures
• Perform daily/weekly/monthly walk-throughs supporting data center and office operations
• Perform tests and rounds, analyze data to ensure proper functioning and operating parameters
• Perform preventive maintenance on all building equipment to ensure efficient operation
• Assist with preparation of methods of procedure (MOPs) as directed
• Provide technical expertise and assistance
• Operate site facility equipment and systems without error to maximize availability
• Suggest continuous improvements in process and cost savings
• Coordinate maintenance with outside vendors and oversee vendor maintenance
• Respond to emergency situations and customer concerns
• Ensure strict adherence to critical facility work rules and safety procedures
• Ensure Chief Engineer and/or Assistant Chief Engineer receive timely verbal and written operating reports about building systems and preventative maintenance
• Provide training within their expertise to other technicians as required
• Encourage, train, and evaluate Apprentice's technical and behavioral skills; set professional example
• Manage subcontractors ensuring scope compliance and quality of services
• Ensure compliance with established MOPs and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Work overtime as assigned and required
• Be familiar with applicable federal, state, and local rules, codes, and regulations
• Interact effectively with internal and external customers

Requirements:

• At least one (1) year experience supporting mission critical environments
  Current electrical Journeyman's license
• Hands-on electrical or mechanical skill and competence in area of non-expertise (e.g., electrical expertise with mechanical competence, or vice versa)
• Ability to operate and perform routine and emergency service on state-of-the-art critical systems
• Knowledge and experience using basic computer applications
