About This Role 

The Global Head of Program & Project Management will report directly to the Indexes COO and work closely with other functional teams (Product, Operations, IT, Client Service) to scope, manage and bring to fruition a range of business & IT programs and projects.  Managing a global team, the role requires a history of execution, an understanding of program management methodologies and experience in the market data, indexing or related investment industries. 

This role requires a proven leader with a track record in executing complex projects, great communication skills and an ability to build teams and productive cultures.  The ideal candidate has a strong background in both business leadership, technology support and process improvement. Experience planning and leading complex projects across multiple teams, including the oversight of multiple project plans and key metrics, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced technical environment is critical. The person in this role must be able to identify, navigate and ultimately reduce risk throughout program/project delivery in order to complete high value programs on time and with impact. 

What You'll Do 

Program and Project Portfolio Management – lead the process of conceiving, prioritizing and managing programs/projects to meet strategic business needs including executive reviews, capacity forecasting, risk/obstacle resolution, product roadmap reviews and strategies, and dashboarding/metrics; establish and enforce project management processes, methodologies, and best practices across the organization; regularly monitor and assess project progress, risks, and dependencies, provide timely updates and recommendations to executives and stakeholders; identify efficiencies and ensure projects are delivered within the approved timing and budget. 

Strategic Leadership and Oversight - lead, mentor, and develop a global team of project and program managers, ensuring high performance and alignment with organizational goals; develop and execute a comprehensive project management strategy that ensures timely and on-budget delivery of both technology and non-technology projects; coach project managers, scrum masters, tech leads, program owners and managers
