Your Specific Responsibilities:

This position is required to respond to emergencies.
This is a highly responsible position located within the Bureau of Preparedness and Response and assigned to the Community Preparedness Section.
This position is primarily responsible for:
Developing, managing and implementing annual preparedness expectations, contract deliverables and funding allocations for Health Care Coalitions in alignment with federal capabilities, grant requirements and strategic priorities.
Establishing annual agendas and work plans for engagement with external community preparedness stakeholder groups in coordination with the Community Preparedness Section Administrator to ensure alignment with strategic priorities, expectations and deliverables.
Serving as the secondary or primary point of contact with external community preparedness stakeholder groups and Health Care Coalitions to increase preparedness capability at the local level, reduce risks, and integrate preparedness activities at the local level.
Establishing priorities and focus areas for technical assistance and evaluation of community preparedness activities to ensure integration at the local level, alignment with priority areas, measurement of critical components and analysis of targeted capabilities.
Preparing to and serving as a member of the State ESF8 Incident Management Team during public health and medical incidents, activations of the State Emergency Response Team and exercises. This includes training for assigned roles, developing professional preparedness kits, and participating in exercises and drills as appropriate.
Performing other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
